Urupedia – Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) memastikan bahwa program bantuan pangan beras bagi masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah akan terus bergulir.
Pernyataan tersebut disampaikan Presiden saat menyerahkan bantuan beras dari pemerintah kepada 1.064 Keluarga Penerima Manfaat (KPM) di Gedung Kawasan Pertanian Terpadu, Kota Tangerang Selatan, Banten, Senin (19/02/2024).
“Jadi ini Januari, Februari, Maret, April, Mei, Juni. Nanti setelah Juni kita lihat APBN-nya mencukupi tidak, kalau mencukupi dilanjutkan lagi,” ujar Presiden, Rabu (21/02/2024).
Presiden mengatakan bahwa program ini adalah bukti dari komitmen pemerintah untuk membantu masyarakat, terutama di tengah kenaikan harga pangan, terutama beras, saat ini.
“Kenapa (harga) naik? Karena ada yang namanya perubahan iklim, perubahan cuaca, sehingga banyak yang gagal panen. Padahal yang makan tetap, produksinya berkurang, sehingga harganya menjadi naik. Dan, pemerintah kita membantu bantuan beras ini agar meringankan Ibu-ibu semuanya karena tadi, harganya naik,” tandasnya.
