Urupedia – Klub Voli Legendaris asal surabaya, yaitu Samator harus menerima kekalahan dan alami degradasi usai kalah atas TNI AU dengan skor 0-3 (19-25, 21-25, 18-25) pada laga perebutan peringkat ketiga dan keempat.
Selama empat laga yang berlangsung di Divisi Utama Livoli 2023, Samator tidak pernah memperoleh kemengan. Tim asuhan pelatih asal Selandia Baru, Jeff Jiang ini harus meraup kekalahan pada tiga laga di babak penyisihan dan satu laga perebutan tempat ketiga dan keempat.
Akibat kekalahan ini Samator di degradasi ke Livoli Divisi Satu. Sebelumnya pada tahun 2007 PT Gas Samator juga pernah terdegradasi ke Livoli Divisi Satu. Namun, setahun kemudian masuk kembali ke Divisi Utama.
Menurut manajer tim Samator, Hadi Sampurno seperti dikutip dari laman resmi Kominfo Jatim, kekalahan bertubi-tubi yang dialami oleh Samator disebabkan oleh para pemain yang bisa dibilang masih muda dan belum memiliki pengalaman banyak.
“Posisi kami tidak bisa dihindari untuk terkena degradasi. Materi pemain kami kali ini terdiri dari pemain-pemain muda dan belum memiliki pengalaman yang cukup,” Jelasnya.
Di sisi lain, Tim putra LavAni berhasil menjadi tim terbaik putaran reguler pertama Pul B Livoli Divisi Utama 2023 usai tumbangkan BIN Pasundan dengan skor 3-1 (23-25, 25-18, 25-21, 25-17) pada laga final di Indoor Stadium Indomilk Sport Center, Legok, Kabupaten Tangerang.
