Urupedia – Sebanyak 30 petugas pengawas Pemilihan Umum (Pemilu) 2024 telah meninggal dunia sejak tanggal 14 Februari 2024 hingga Senin, 26 Februari 2024. Kabar tersebut disampaikan oleh Ketua Badan Pengawasan Pemilu (Bawaslu) RI, Rahmat Bagja.
“Sampai hari ini kan kita hitung, karena kan masa jabatannya sampai dengan hari ini aja. Saya harus cek, sampai minggu ini ada penambahan dua. Jadi sekitar 2 atau berarti sekitar 30 orang,” jelas Ragmat Bagia, Senin (26/2/2024).
Menurut Bagja, meninggalnya banyak petugas pengawas Pemilu diduga disebabkan oleh kelelahan. Kejadian ini akan dievaluasi oleh Bawaslu untuk penyelenggaraan pemilu berikutnya. Bagja menegaskan bahwa para petugas yang meninggal akan menerima santunan.
“Ini tergantung nanti dari akta kematian, ada yang sudah diberikan ada yang kemudian juga ada yang belum karena proses administrasi,” pungkas Bagia.
